Dr. Papanek received his MD degree in 1977 from UC San Diego and took his
residency in Family Medicine at UCLA. He received a Masters of Public Health
degree from UCLA in the field of Occupational and Environmental Health
Science and is Board certified in both Occupational Medicine and Family
Medicine. Dr. Papanek was Chief of the Occupational Health Service/Kaiser
on the Job Program in the Metro Los Angeles area, and he serves on the
Workers Compensation Committee of the California Medical Association.

Dr. Belcourt received his medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of California, Davis. Following a stint in the United States Air Force, he embarked upon his occupational medicine career in Sacramento. He is board-certified in both Occupational Medicine and Family Practice.
Dr. Newman is the principal of The Newman Medical Group, focusing on Occupational
Health Services for Silicon Valley and the Monterey Peninsula. Dr.
Newman received his M.D. from UCSF and did residency training in Family
Medicine at the Stanford/San Jose program. He completed the Mini-Residency
in Occupational Medicine at UCSF. Dr. Newman is currently Associate
Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. His clinical
activities have included consulting services and direct patient care
to over 50 companies throughout California. Currently, his largest
client is Monterey Mushrooms, where he serves as Chief Health Officer
for over 3,500 Hispanic farmworkers around the United States.

Leslie Israel, DO, MPH is Associate Clinical
Professor of Medicine and Associate
Director of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) Residency
Program at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), Center for
Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH). She joined the UC Irvine
faculty in 2003 to pursue her interest in educating OEM residents.
In addition to residency-related tasks, she provides medical oversight
for clinical activities within the UCI COEH. She works
with several municipalities and their public safety workers’ medical
guidelines including the Department of Industrial Relations
(DIR-Cal/OSHA Consultation) and California Department of Health

is the National Medical Director for Concentra’s On-site Division.
Prior to joining Concentra, Dr. Govindarao was the Medical Director for
Boeing Satellite Systems in El Segundo, CA. He is Board Certified in Occupational
Medicine. He is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Hahnemann Medical School
(Drexel University). Dinesh completed an Occupational & Environmental
residency from UCLA/USC and has a Masters in Public Health from UCLA.
Ms. Parker has served as Executive Director of the Western Occupational & Environmental Medical Association (WOEMA) since 1999. She serves in this capacity through a management contract with Holland-Parlette Associates (HPA), a San Francisco-based association management firm. HPA also provides association management services to other non-profit medical associations. Parker has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Iowa (1982) and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Iowa State University (1985).

Dr. Das is currently Chief of the Exposure Assessment Section, Environmental Health Investigations Branch, California Department of Health (CDPH). She is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco, where her practice includes attending as physician in the occupational medicine referral clinic. For over a decade at CDPH’s Occupational Health Branch led programs to track and prevent occupational pesticide illnesses, emergency preparedness and planning, and respond to occupational infectious disease outbreaks. She currently leads the California Environmental Contaminant Biomonitoring Program, a mandated statewide program to assess chemical exposures in the California population. Dr. Das attended medical school at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and a Fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at UCSF. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine/Occupational Medicine.

Patrick Luedtke MD MPH

Dr. Luedtke is the director of the Utah Public Health Laboratories and deputy director of the Division of Epidemiology for the state health department in Utah. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Public Health at the University of Utah and the director of its Environmental Health graduate program. His duties as the director of laboratories include environmental public health testing (e.g., air, water, soil), clinical microbiology testing (e.g., STDs and tuberculosis), and forensic toxicology testing (e.g., blood alcohols, and drugs of abuse). In epidemiology he coordinates occupational health care for 1,300 health department employees and directs state and local responses for pandemic and bioterrorism preparedness. Academically, Dr. Luedtke’s activities include directing/teaching the environmental graduate courses, teaching public health epidemiology to residents and medical students, research, and patient care.
Dr. Pocekay is Chief
of the Department of Occupational Medicine at TPMG in San Rafael, CA and
a Staff Physician in the Petaluma office. He received his MPH from University
of California, Berkeley, and his MD from Creighton University in Omaha,
NE. Dr. Pocekay went into Occupational Medicine because of special interest
in musculoskeletal disorders. His interests include fibromyalgia, disability
management, and occupational health and safety services. He especially
enjoys teaching small groups and primary care providers.

Dr. Terrazas currently serves as the Department Physician for the San Francisco Fire Department. His is board certification in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Vasquez has served as the Medical Director for Disability Management for the North American Division of BASF, the Area Medical
Director for Hercules and Alliant Tech Systems, and an occupational
medical consultant for employers such as USAA, UPS, Becton-Dickinson,
Procter and Gamble, the Ross Division of Abbott Pharmaceuticals, and
Owens Corning, and the Corporate Medical Director of MBI Occupational
Health Care in Arizona. Dr. Vasquez currently works for Take Care
Health Systems, where he is the Medical Director of the fifteen Health
for Life Centers at Intel Corporation nationally. He is an MRO, and is
involved in disability management, including
stay-at-work/return-to-work program development and implementation. He
currently serves on the Board of the Arizona Work Disability Prevention
Association.
