Western Occupational Health Conference (WOHC) Resident Poster Competition

Each year, WOEMA invites resident physicians to the Western Occupational Health Conference (WOHC) to present posters on occupational and environmental medicine research or projects that have been conducted.  A review panel awards a first prize ($250) and a second prize ($125) to the presenters. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the "posters" were presented virtually!

How does a virtual poster session work?

Residents created 5- 10 minute PowerPoint presentations or YouTube videos in lieu of a poster and the submissions can be viewed below. The 2020 winner, Dr. Oluseyi Awodelegave a short live presentation and Q&A at the Virtual WOHC in September. WOEMA also interviewed the winner for a podcast where he talks about his research (podcast available November 10).

The runner up is Dr. Dane Dicaro. Congratulations to both!
